The firm engages in projects throughout the United States. Representative projects include freestanding medical centers, ambulatory care centers, medical office buildings, rehabilitation clinics, as well as a broad range of senior‐living environments including Independent Living Communities, Assisted Living Communities, Specialized Alzheimer’s Facilities, and Skilled Care Nursing Facilities.
We maintain a small staff of highly qualified designers and administrative personnel. Each project is managed by the firm’s principal, Beth Hill, affording single‐source responsibility throughout the design and construction process. Rather than making a partial commitment to many clients, we are totally committed to providing personalized service to a few. As a result, each client benefits from our highly focused, attentive and flexible approach to project design and management.
Specializing in environments for the senior‐living industry, our firm has an in‐depth comprehension of the human, technological, and economic issues that our clients face every day. We believe that this fundamental understanding and sensitivity to our client’s businesses is the key to our success. We make it our business to keep current with emerging trends and technologies that are changing our clients’ facilities, practices, and services. As a result we are continually broadening our knowledge base and raising our level of expertise.
Interior Design Philosophy
Lizabeth Jones Interior Design believes that a facility’s interior environment reflects the healthcare philosophy of its owners. We view interior design as the clear expression of a facility’s personality and an integral part of the client’s marketing efforts.
Our interior design intent is always to create a functional, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing solution that supports and enhances the well‐being of the people who use it. We seek to design interior environments that foster positive attitudes and experiences among residents, families, and staff. Our design solutions provide residents and their families with reassuring, non‐institutional settings that help reduce anxiety. Access to natural light, familiar furnishings, comforting textures and surfaces, and other subtle details add to the user’s experience of the facility as an enabling environment providing a gracious, friendly, and secure community that promotes peace of mind.
Our design approach reflects the demographics and cultural influence of the facility’s primary users. Furniture scale, color palettes, and interior finishes respond to user‐specific factors such as age, gender, and nature of their medical conditions. We incorporate materials, lighting, and furnishings to create a residential domestic ambiance that recalls familiar surroundings. Whenever possible we seek to use native materials and furnishings by local artisans in an effort to distinguish and link the Project to its local community.
